Financial Policy

We strive to help our patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health by providing the highest quality dental care. Our goal is to get you from where you are now to as healthy as we can. For some patients, this is a little and for some, it’s a lot. Your individual treatment plan will give you a comprehensive, big-picture look at how to make that possible!

No insurance, no problem!

We’re dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to all of our patients. A lack of insurance coverage should never hinder you from receiving the best care possible. We offer a 5% discount for payment in full by cash or check and a 3% discount when paid in full by credit or debit card. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards. We also offer payment plans through Care Credit. Care Credit is a third-party finance company that offers 12 months of no-interest options or the ability to spread your payments out as far as 48-60 months. This flexibility helps our patients find the option that will best fit into their life.

Patients working with insurance-

We understand that navigating the specifics of your plan can become frustrating. Dental insurance is very different than medical insurance. It’s hardly insurance at all since it rarely covers all or even most of your dental costs. It’s actually best viewed as a “benefit”. It’s kind of like a coupon with blackout dates and exclusions. In fact, very often, the most common and beneficial dental treatments aren’t covered at all.

Most dental insurance is a contract between your employer and the dental insurance company. The benefits you will receive are based on the terms of the contract that was negotiated between your employer and the insurance company. Unfortunately, some of the services you need or want will not be covered by your plan. Dr. Anderson is not a restricted provider for any insurance company. Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain optimal oral health care, which is undoubtedly not the goal of your insurance company. We will not compromise your care based on restraints placed by your insurance company.

The complexities of dental insurance and the lack of sufficient information provided by the companies can make it almost impossible for many patients to fully understand their benefits. Our office will do everything possible to help you understand and make the most of your benefits. We will prepare and submit your dental insurance claim forms as a courtesy to you. We do not bill medical claims. We will verify your benefit coverage and obtain an approximate breakdown of benefits. We do our best to estimate your benefits and your estimated out-of-pocket portion due, based on the information we receive. Please know this is only an estimate. Insurance companies use a disclaimer that states, “all claims are subject to eligibility and plan provisions at the time the services are rendered. This is not a guarantee of coverage.”

We do ask to collect your estimated out-of-pocket prior to receiving treatment.
